Islamabad: Saudi investors have invited the Pakistan Furniture Council (PFC) for deliberations aimed at enhancing mutual cooperation and forming joint ventures in the furniture sector, according to a news report.
PFC Chief Executive Mian Kashif Ashfaq chaired a meeting to discuss the matter. He informed the participants of the latest developments. Furthermore, he indicated that the collaboration invitation was a ‘big achievement’ for the local furniture sector.

He said that a framework would be outlined to enhance mutual cooperation. Joint ventures will also be forged, with the invite being ‘the next step in the direction’. It will allow PFC to negotiate with Saudi investors.
The PFC chief executive said that with the right steps, Pakistan’s handmade furniture would gain maximum space and exposure.
Ashfaq also stressed the need for regular meetings between Pakistani and Saudi businessmen. He remarked that such engagements will open up new avenues of investment. These, in turn, will further boost relations between the two countries.
