Abbottabad: The government has established a PKR 21 billion residential facility under a grant from Saudi Arabia, a news source reported. Saudi Housing Complex Ayub Medical Institute Abbottabad, which includes 114 residential apartments, was inaugurated at the Ayub Teaching Hospital by Saudi Fund for Development’s Vice Chairman and Managing Director Dr Khaled Bin Sulaiman Alkhudairy.
Habibullah Bukhari, deputy head of mission, Embassy of Saudi Arabia, and Engineer Abdullah Al Shoabi, regional manager operation department, Saudi Fund for Development, were the chief guests at the ceremony.
Addressing the ceremony, Engineer Al Shoabi said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia shared a very cordial relationship, adding that Riyadh was very pleased with the successful completion of the project. He also lauded the efforts of ERRA for completing the project before the due date. It is pertinent to mention here that the project began in July 2017.
The project, executed by Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA), comprises 19 buildings, each having six apartments covering 164,065 feet gross floor area.
