Islamabad: Saudi Arabia has expressed its interest to explore more avenues for investment in Gwadar, a news source reported. The Chairman of Saudi Shura Council Dr Abdullah Bin Muhammad Bin Ibrahim Al-Shaikh met with Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani during a reception ceremony held in honour of the council. The topic of exploring further investment avenues in the port city came up for discussion during this meeting.

The visiting delegation expressed its interest for making further investments, stating that Gwadar offered great potential for pursuing trade and economic activities. Meanwhile, Sanjrani said that Pakistan offers a favourable environment for multi-sector investment. He added that Saudi investors can reap considerable benefits from the investment opportunities available.

The Senate chairman also opined that the visit of the Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman has been important for laying the foundation of a new era of cooperation between the two countries. He added that the commitment of Saudi investors had also boosted the confidence of the international community in Pakistan.
