Sargodha: Sargodha Commissioner Dr. Farah Masood has directed the authorities concerned to proceed with razing all buildings and structures located in the city that were constructed without first having their maps approved, a news source reported. As per the publication, the commissioner further instructed the Sargodha Metropolitan Corporation to also attend to pending map approval requests in a timely manner.

Commissioner Masood gave these directives while presiding over a meeting held to get an update on measures taken to make Sargodha clean and green. Addressing the meeting members, she instructed the officers concerned to fix all traffic signals and streetlights in the city. In addition, she also ordered the relevant officials to launch a crackdown against encroachers.

During the meeting, the commissioner was informed that the crackdown had been planned against 33 buildings that had been constructed without approved maps. She was also briefed on the various initiatives currently underway in the city, including waste disposal measures taken in different union councils, repainting of public buildings, development of road dividers and walls, desilting of sewerage lines, removal of encroachments, and the launch of plantation campaigns.
