Sargodha: Commissioner Muhammad Ajmal Bhatti has directed the administration to conduct an audit and survey of private housing societies in all four districts of Sargodha Division, according to news published in the national dailies on May 9.

A review meeting was held regarding the misuse of state land in the division. The commissioner asked to conduct a survey and audit of housing societies that have encroached on government ponds, reservoirs, and corridors. He highlighted that revenue officers must strictly follow up on the cases pending adjudication in different courts. Heavy fines should be imposed on illegal cultivators on state land, he added.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) gave a briefing about the use of government agricultural and residential areas for the commercial industry along with other welfare purposes on government land in their respective districts.

Moreover, the attendees were briefed on the petrol pumps on government land, their auction, lease, and collection from CNG stations and hotel rent collection. The commissioner requested details about the auction of shops, plazas, and markets and the collection of dues in the districts.
