Sargodha: Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sargodha Syed Khurram Ali has said that the building for Safe City Project has been completed and steps are being taken to make the system functional, a news source reported. He further said the river checkposts have been established to monitor the boundary areas of the division and scanners are being installed to search cars at entry and exit points.

It has been suggested that a new police division should be established in the areas adjoining the motorway. This year, division police arrested 63 gangs and more than 3,000 absconders. 200,000 people were questioned during combing operations, and 8,000 cases were registered by the divisional police.

The RPO explained that on the basis of reports, joint operations with other divisional police units have also been conducted.
