Lahore: The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has launched a centralised complaint management and response system for facilitating the Safe Cities Project, a news source reported. The system has been integrated within the authority’s operations for registering all emergency or intervention-seeking calls received on Police & Universal Helpline ‘15’ phone numbers across Punjab.
The complaint system, titled ‘Police Unified Communication and Response (PUCAR-15)’, will become operational by March 15, tentatively. It will be a first-of-its-kind system in Pakistan and South Asia, according to the PSCA spokesperson.
The system will allow recording and progress-monitoring of all complaint calls received on 15 throughout the province.
The system is set to revolutionise the police communication and response mechanism. It is expected to significantly reduce the turnaround time required for complaint resolutions.
