The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) made this decision in view of the park’s performance. Both Safari Park and Aladdin Park are under new management now. Karachi Mayor Wasim Akhtar issued the directives for this decision.
However, there have been concerns that the new management does not include zoologists and technical experts. KMC’s goal is to help this park achieve its full potential and provide recreational facilities to Karachi’s residents.
It has been revealed that a theme park will be built on 109 acres of land, which will be commercialised out of the total 207 acres. The new director, Kunwar Ayub, has stated that this plan is still with the Sindh Government’s Public-Private unit. It will only be implemented after the approval is given.
