Rahim Yar Khan: Deputy Commissioner Ali Shahzad has ordered the officials concerned to seal all unapproved under-construction commercial and residential structures in the city, a news source reported on Thursday (Sep 10).
The DC issued the directives while presiding over a meeting of the District Planning and Design Committee. Officials representing the committee’s secretary, the Highways Department, the Traffic Police and the local government bodies were all present at the occasion.

Shahzad further directed the concerned officials to scrutinise the details submitted by the developers of commercial and residential projects regarding the building plans, designs and measurements of their projects. In order to ensure that the building regulations are being followed, he asked his staff to visit the project site and prepare a report. These measures are being taken to ensure that no building is being constructed with having an approved map.

In order to expedite related activities in the construction sector, he asked the Planning and Design Committee officials to conduct weekly meetings and approve building plans that meet the specified requirements.
