Rawalpindi : The Commissioner of Rawalpindi Division Engineer Aamir Khattak has announced that construction of the Rawalpindi Ring Road will be completed by December, as reported on July 2.

According to the details, this project is part of the Annual Development Programme (ADP), which includes 315 schemes in Rawalpindi, with 226 currently underway and 89 new initiatives planned. Key projects like the Rawalpindi Ring Road and the Dadocha Dam are pivotal for the city’s growth. The Rawalpindi Ring Road project is divided into three phases: the first phase involves building a 38.3 km stretch from Banth to Thalian, scheduled for completion by December 2024. This aims to foster industrial growth and alleviate traffic congestion.

Additionally, significant developments in Rawalpindi include the initiation of the Lai Motorway, Kutchery Chowk, Safe City Project, several water supply initiatives, and the renovation of Holy Family and Benazir Bhutto Hospitals. A mobile health service project named ‘Vehicle on Wheels’ has been launched, alongside the establishment of a 150-bed Rehab Center at Wah General Hospital, upgrades to Pirwadhai Bus Stand, and the construction of a Freelance IT and Gymkhana in all districts.
