Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) successfully carried out a special cleanliness campaign during Eidul Fitr, ensuring that all cities in the division remained zero waste in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
According to an RWMC spokesperson, lawmakers, local authorities, and residents expressed satisfaction over the company’s performance, appreciating its efforts in maintaining a clean environment during the festive period. RWMC Chief Executive Officer Rana Sajid Safdar congratulated the staff for their dedication and hard work.

Under the campaign, the company ensured the swift removal of waste from roads, streets, markets, and public spaces over the three-day Eid holiday. Sanitation teams worked round the clock to keep the city clean, earning praise from both citizens and members of Parliament.
RWMC has now shifted its focus to preparations for Eidul Adha, aiming for the immediate disposal of sacrificial animal waste. CEO Safdar emphasized that all available resources would be utilized to implement the ‘Suthra Punjab’ program, reinforcing the company’s commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards across Rawalpindi.
