Karachi: The decrease in the Pakistani Rupee’s value has resulted in an increase in the prices of rebar and cement, a news source reported. The rebar prices have been increased by PKR 5,000 per tonne, while the cement prices have risen by PKR 20 per bag.
As a result, the price per tonne of rebar has risen to PKR 107,000, while the prices of various brands of cement have increased to the range of PKR 580 to PKR 645. Stakeholders have expressed concerns that this will increase the cost of all raw materials used in construction.
