Lahore: A delegation from the Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA), led by Chief Operating Officer Mansoor Janjua, briefed probationers of the 52nd Common Training Programme on Monday, highlighting the authority’s key climate and housing initiatives.
During the interactive session, RUDA officials provided an overview of the organization’s transformative projects, including its participation in COP 29, where it led discussions on climate resilience and hydrogen energy. The briefing also covered RUDA’s engineering programs aimed at sustainable urban development.

The delegation emphasized RUDA’s commitment to social welfare, particularly through the CM’s low-cost housing initiative, under which Maskan-e-Ravi is being developed to provide affordable housing.
Probationers actively engaged with the RUDA team, discussing topics such as alignment with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and compliance with international environmental standards.
The session concluded with appreciation from the trainees for RUDA’s role in shaping Lahore into a modern, climate-resilient city and its contributions to sustainable urbanization in Pakistan.
