Lahore: The Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) has decided to regularise housing schemes with 500 houses or other structures already developed in Purple Zone of Ravi Riverfront Urban Development Project (RRUDP)’s Phase-1, according to a news story published on Saturday (March 19).

It is pertinent to note that the Phase-1 of Ravi City project has been divided into three zones: Brown Zone, Green Zone, and Purple Zone. In the Brown Zone, anybody can develop infrastructure according to the specifications, needs, and standards set by RUDA. The Green Zone is reserved for forestry and agricultural related activities. The Purple Zone is allotted for buildings or housing schemes developed including 1,700 small and medium industries. The CEO mentioned that all the developments in this zone will be regularised.

RUDA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Imran Amin disclosed that the schemes located on the riverbed or flood plains will be relocated. He went on to say that the said project will consist of a media city where media houses can have new offices in the RRUDP area.
