Lahore: The Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) spearheads transformative environmental projects to combat Lahore’s growing smog and environmental challenges, setting a benchmark for sustainable urban living.
As part of its mission to create a greener and healthier Lahore, RUDA is actively restoring the historic Jhoke Forest, a sprawling 3,071-acre natural reserve. With 200 acres already planted with 100,000 trees, the initiative aims to support biodiversity, provide wildlife habitats, and reduce carbon emissions. This large-scale afforestation effort is a step toward creating an enduring ecological legacy and promoting a sustainable future for the region.
