Faisalabad: River Urban Development Authority’s (RUDA) Director of Investor Relations Fardan Khalid on Tuesday (April 19) invited the business community in Faisalabad to invest in its ‘New Lahore City project, news sources reported.

Talking with a delegation of the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI), Director Fardan said that the project is a flagship endeavour with lucrative business opportunities and potential for the commercial community of the industrial city. He went on to say that the project will include 2,000 acres of land and will have specialised sections for government officials, knowledge, tourism, entertainment, sports, commercial, downtown, and industrial regions. In addition, to meet the city’s water demands, the project will include a water treatment plant for repeated water purification.

Furthermore, the project has been planned to foster sustainable expansion alongside the forest, which will account for 13% of the total land area. He went on to say that the project has been designed to promote eco-friendly living, has garnered an investment of USD 8 billion, and is expected to be completed by 2050.
