Lahore: The Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) has prepared and sent a summary for the creation of new regulations that would grant the RUDA the same rights as the Lahore Development Authority (LDA), news sources reported. In this regard, RUDA has prepared and sent the agenda to Chairman RUDA Dr Salman Shah.

The new regulations will apply to the whole land area of RUDA’s three phases, which totals 102,271 acres.
According to the details, after the approval of the agenda is expected to be granted in the meeting of the Board of Directors, expected to be held in 10 days. Furthermore, once approved, the RUDA will have the same rights as the LDA in terms of passing educational building plans, master plans, and accreditation of housing schemes falling under its jurisdiction.

Similarly, the land within the boundaries of RUDA could be presented directly to the authority after the agenda approval and landowners who opted to give land directly to the RUDA will be given 30% plot files. Enticing offers will be offered for landowners in RUDA zones under the new proposed regulations.
