Islamabad: Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said that he would uplift neglected projects including Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR), according to a news report. Buzdar said that because of the shifting of Islamabad International Airport, people had to take longer routes to catch and receive flights. He also said that the entire traffic through Peshawar-Karachi route had to travel through the twin cities.
The construction of the RRR will facilitate traffic from Rawat to Thalian Interchange M-2. Governor of Punjab Ghulam Sarwar assured to look into this delayed project to facilitate commuters on the Islamabad Expressway, IJ Principal, and GT Road.
