Rawalpindi: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Mohsin Naqvi shared that significant progress has been made on the 38-kilometre long Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR) project, as reported in the leading newspaper on December 31.

As per the details, 12% of the work on RRR project is already completed. During a visit to the project site, CM Naqvi directed the relevant departments to expedite efforts, emphasizing the importance of completing the project promptly. He expressed confidence in completion of the project by August. The CM highlighted the regional significance of the project, emphasizing its potential benefits to the citizens of Islamabad and Rawalpindi upon completion.

Moreover, the CM inspected the ongoing construction of a temporary bridge at Soan River and commended the Frontier Works Organization (FWO) for its swift execution. He also provided updates on other ongoing projects in Punjab, mentioning the progress on the Daducha Dam construction, designed to address the clean drinking water shortage in Rawalpindi. CM Naqvi assured that efforts were underway to resolve traffic issues at the Kutchery Chowk of Rawalpindi through an extension project.
