Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Division Commissioner Liaquat Ali Chatta, who is also the Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR) Project Director, highlighted that the project is a top priority as it will address traffic problems, according to news published on August 2.

A meeting was held in which various stakeholders came together to discuss the substantial benefits of the Ring Road project in effectively addressing traffic congestion in the twin cities. The meeting witnessed the attendance of key figures including Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Director General Saif Anwar Jappa, Presidents of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Rawalpindi, Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bus and Transport Union, Rawat Industrial Estate, and representatives from Anjuman-e-Tajran Rawalpindi.

It is important to note that the RDA had entered into a partnership with a renowned Turkish consortium comprising Asian Consulting Engineers and Botek Bosporus Technical Consulting Company, to avail third-party validation consultancy services. The primary objective of this collaboration is to identify the most optimal route for the Rawalpindi Ring Road while conducting a thorough validation of existing proposals.
