Karachi: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced that inflows of foreign exchange – through the Roshan Digital Account (RDA) – has crossed the USD 1 billion milestone in just over seven months, according to a news published on April 25.

The central bank revealed this information via its official Twitter handle, where it was also announced that an event is being planned to express gratitude for the overseas Pakistanis and their exemplary response to the initiative. Moreover, Prime Minister Imran Khan also lauded the overseas Pakistanis SBP for their continuous support to enhance the national foreign exchange inflows.

Reportedly, since the initiative’s inauguration in September 2020, RDA inflows have been increasing every month. As per the banking sources, as many as 20 banks have joined the RDA and have been making efforts for its success.
Why is Pakistan Embassy and Consulates in US not sending any information about RDA to the local ex-patriots living here for many years ? There are hundreds if not thousands of Pakistanis living here, who would like to open a SAFE account in Pakistan, guaranteed by the Govt. Of Pakistan.
