According to reports, the apex bank refuted the comments circulating on social media about the slow influx and huge withdrawal of cash from the RDA. According to a statement on the SBP’s official Twitter handle, the influx is increasing, and the bank expects the pace to continue during the upcoming days. It was highlighted that the RDA received a total influx of USD 290 million in March alone. With the Eid holidays approaching, inflows are projected to exceed the previous month’s record. It is worth noting that the government introduced RDA in September 2020 in order to encourage non-Pakistanis (NRPs) to send money more efficiently.
