Karachi: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Wednesday (June 22) announced that there are 400,000 active Roshan Digital Account users in 116 countries around the world, news sources reported. It was said that a total of 71% of the respondents were satisfied with the services provided under the initiative.

According to reports, the central bank tweeted about the survey from its official account, saying that the RDA has hit a new single-day inflow of USD 57 million, bringing the total to USD 4.5 billion since its inception.
According to the study, SBP contacted 10,000 RDA customers from various countries to enquire about service delivery and other customer satisfaction issues.
The results of the 9,777 people who responded showed that 70% of participants opened an account for family assistance, 11% for stock market investment, and 22% for real estate investment. Furthermore, 36 % of deposits were from Saudi Arabia, 23 % were from the United Arab Emirates, and 10 % were from the European Union and the United Kingdom.
Furthermore, it was also revealed that 23% of the respondents were permanent residents of the respective countries, while 5% were temporary residents.

It is worth noting that in the year 2021-22 alone, the non-resident Pakistanis (NRPs) sent USD 2.656 billion through RDA alone. In total NRPs had sent a total of USD 31 billion in fiscal year 2021-22.
