Islamabad: In order to deal with traffic issues in the capital, the concerned departments have decided to wide various roads, reported a news source. The decision was taken in a meeting held between high officials of Capital Development Authority (CDA), Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP), and district government.
The meeting was presided over by CDA Chairman Amir Ali Ahmed. ITP Deputy Inspector General Waqar Ahmed Chohan, ITP Senior Superintendent Police Farrukh Rasheed and ITP Superintendent Police Khalid Rasheed were also present.
CDA Chairman Ahmed instructed CDA director traffic planning and director urban planning to sit down with ITP SSP Rasheed to chalk out a plan. The required plan has to be workable to help fix traffic problems in the capital.
The CDA engineering members and ITP SSP and other CDA officials visited Islamabad Expressway, Rawal Dam Chowk and Park Road. The purpose of the trip was to have a look at current traffic situation and analyse the few proposals proposed to fix traffic problems.
