Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Metropolitan Corporation (RMC) has announced its decision to auction the leasing contracts for three parking points as well as public bathrooms (situated at the Pirwadhai general bus stand) in a bid to generate approximately PKR 17.6 million, according to a news report published on November 16.

According to the details revealed, RMC intends to hold the annual open auction of the Pirwadhai Bus Stand and parking points at multiple locations to boost the department’s income. RMC Chief Officer Imran Safdar has revealed that the reserved bid for the contract for the right to collect parking fee from public transport at the aforementioned bus stand was set at PKR 10.8 million.

Earlier in October, the Punjab government had approved funds worth PKR 1.37 billion for several development schemes including the construction and repair work as well as civic development in several areas identified by the officials concerned.
