Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Municipal Corporation has prepared plans for three development schemes, reported a news source. These include construction of a sewerage drain, three roads, and the boundary wall of a graveyard.

The projects will be completed with the funds provided by the World Bank’s Development Loan Scheme. The proposal in this regard have already been sent to the World Bank. The planned schemes are estimated to cost PKR 100 million.

RMC is will rehabilitate roads connecting Kashmiri Bazar with Rata Lai Bridge Road, Mohala Raja Sultan Road and Family Hospital Road. The mentioned roads are currently in deteriorating condition.
Construction of sewerage drain in Union Council 27, boundary wall of a graveyard and repair of old vehicles are also sent for approval.
In the absence of a formal approval RMC has been unable to launch development schemes in the last six months.
