Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Municipal Corporation (RMC) has forwarded development scheme proposals, worth PKR 100 million, to the World Bank Development Load initiative for funding, according to a news source.
Various projects in Rawalpindi are projected to receive funds under this scheme. These projects include the construction of a road from Kashmiri Bazaar to Rattah Leh Bridge Road, and the commencement of repair work on Muhalla Raja Sultan Road and Holy Family Hospital. The authorities concerned will also rebuild the boundary wall of a graveyard and construct a sewerage drain in Union Council 27.
Furthermore, the RMC will utilise these funds to repair its heavy machinery, vehicles, and other corporation infrastructure.
As per reports, the authority is approaching the World Bank for the launch and funding of these projects so that the city’s development can continue. Rawalpindi Mayor Sardar Naseem Khan emphasised that these projects are necessary to ease the difficulties faced by citizens on a daily basis.
