Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Municipal Corporation (RMC) plans to expand the Liaquat Road from Murree Road to Fawara Chowk while Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) will improve greenbelts, according to a news story published on Monday (February 7).

PHA Director General Zaheer Ahmed Jappa shared that re-carpeting of Liaquat Road will start soon and the authority will renovate greenbelts for the Murree Road to Fawara Chowk section. He went on to add that the district administration and RMC were working together to remove all illegal constructions and encroachments from the area.
Moreover, the PHA also plans to improve Fawara Chowk in order to provide easy access for people visiting nearby areas. The director-general revealed that the main square of Raja Bazaar will be renovated while the main roads will be decorated with cultural pieces. Also, pedestrian streets will be developed.

According to a senior official of RMC (whose name was not disclosed) informed that the civic body has acquired drone cameras to keep an eye on the traffic situation in Raja Bazaar.
