Lahore: The Punjab Government has given the green light for the launch of Ring Road-II project connecting three districts — Lahore, Kasur, and Sheikhupura.
This 186 km-long road named the National Economic Corridor, had been planned by the former Lahore Commissioner and the Lahore Ring Road Authority (LRRA) Chairperson Abdullah Sumbal and his team. Ring Road-II will begin from BRB Canal in Lahore up to Kasur District, then move along Laliani Canal to connect with Raiwind and also connect with Manga Mandi. Further on, it will cross River Ravi to reach Kala Shah Kaku to end at BRB Canal near Muridke.
The project would be completed on the pattern of the existing Ring Road under public-private partnership.
