Rawalpindi: For the construction of Sarwar Road, a revised PC-1 of PKR 323 million has been approved by the Punjab Planning Commission, according to a news source. The project cost has increased from PKR 250 million as the Rawalpindi Development Authority is to shift utility services and make payments for the land acquired for road expansion.
Out of the approved budget, PKR 25 million will be spent on the construction of 80 shops for the charity organisation from which the RDA acquired the land needed for road expansion. Other expenses include shifting water and gas pipelines and the replacement of some of them.
The RDA will share project plans for the remodelling of Ammar Chowk and the renovation of Airport Road in the next meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party.
