Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) approved the revised Akbar Chowk Flyover plan in a meeting chaired by Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, a news source reported on May 25.

The meeting was attended by the Planning and Development Chairman, Chief Secretary, LDA Director General and Additional, Secretaries of Housing, Finance, Local Government, representatives from NESPAK, Line Departments, and members of the governing body.
In the meeting, besides the Akbar Chowk Flyover plan, different decisions regarding the LDA were approved along with reviewing proposed amendments to the building and zone regulations. The minister highlighted the need to compensate landowners according to the market rate for the acquired lands.

The meeting authorised LDA’s auction committee to conduct an auction for shops at Park and Ride Plaza in Liberty Market. Moreover, the meeting approved a comprehensive review of the four-lane Ravi Bridge project. The meeting also conducting an assessment for allocating land for the establishment of petrol pumps at transportation terminal sites.
