Badin: The records of various properties were destroyed in December 2007 in the violence and disturbances that followed the assassination of former Pakistan People’s Party chairperson Ms Benazir Bhutto. Eight years have passed since, and according to a news source more than 40,000 cases of property ownership are still awaiting resolution. Revenue officials in Shaheed Fazil Rahu Taluka have yet to devise a mechanism to retrieve the land records, the news source added.
