Muzaffargarh: The Dera Ghazi Khan Commissioner Tahir Khursheed held a meeting with Muzaffargarh revenue department officials, a news source reported. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr Etesham Anwar.
The DC informed the meeting that the collection target of government dues is PKR 1.2 billion. So far, the government has collected PKR 600 million in water cess, mutation fees, agriculture tax, and stamp duty fees.
The Commissioner warned the officials to achieve the target within a month, or risk facing action.
The inaugural ceremony of the Awaz-i-Khalq helpline 1719 was held. Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that the helpline operation was intended for the public’s welfare. People of Muzaffargarh will register their complaints to be redressed by the district government.
The DC also added that a master plan has been prepared for the beautification of the city.
