Lahore: The Revenue Department Lahore has decided to auction immovable assets of people who have not paid registry fee, stamp duty, income tax, and other taxes, reported a news source. This is being done without any exceptions.
According to the details, in all tax registration offices in Lahore, various taxes worth hundreds of millions are unpaid. To recover this amount, the Revenue Department has prepared an action plan. On the instructions of Assistant Commissioner Wahga Town, tax notices have been pasted on the houses of tax defaulters. The notice reads that they are to pay the due taxes within seven days or their immovable assets will be auctioned or taken hold of by the government.
