Lahore: The Punjab Revenue Department has proposed to form five new districts in the province to better manage revenue generation and resolve administrative issues, news sources reported on September 29.

Among the five new districts are Murree, Kot Addu, Taunsa Sharif, Wazirabad, and Talagang. In this regard, a final proposal summary has been submitted to the Chief Minister’s Office for approval. At a meeting, the Revenue Department found that the management of the bigger districts is causing administrative issues that must be addressed. The following tehsils will be assigned to the new districts:
