Lahore: The Punjab Board of Revenue (PBR) has directed the collectors of all districts across Punjab to submit a comprehensive report on all legal and illegal housing societies falling within their jurisdiction, news sources reported. The reports have been invited to audit the revenue generation and the regularisation of the housing societies.

Reportedly, collectors from 36 districts, including Kasur, Gujarat, Okara, Chakwal, Sahiwal, Pakpattan, Multan, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Jhelum, will submit reports. The collectors will present reports detailing the revenue generated from the transfer, mutation, and different government taxes and duties (such as stamp duty, register charge, inclusion fee, capital value tax, consolidation fee, and stamp paper fee).

The district collectors have also been asked to provide information on the registries of these colonies’ lands, including the details of registry branches and colonies visited by the sub-registrars for assessment of land value on the spot.
