Karachi: Karachi Administrator Barrister Murtaza Wahab on Thursday (April 7) stated that the restoration work has been started on Mohsin Bhopali Underpass in Nazimabad to address the issue of accumulation of rainwater in the underpass, according to news sources.

The Karachi administrator, while inspecting the ongoing repair work, mentioned that the broken road of the underpass has caused problems for the commuters. During the rainy season, the underpass is flooded because of the damaged drainage system. He went on to say that the restoration work on the underpass will decrease travel time.

Moreover, Administrator Wahab disclosed that the underpasses and bridges in the Central District were also being repaired. He added that the expansion joints of the bridges were bring restored. The Karachi administrator notified that the main roads in the city are being maintained to improve the infrastructure. He also highlighted that the construction and repair work on some major roads has been completed including Jahangir road, Shahrah-e-Noor Jahan, and Shershah road.
