Lahore: In collaboration with the Agha Khan Cultural Service Pakistan (AKCSP), the Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA) has completed the restoration work at the main Shah Burj Gate of Lahore Fort, a news source reported.

As per reports, the WCLA conservation team worked on restoration of the wooden gate and some rooms in its interior. While the AKCSP experts restored the Shah Burj Gate façade as part of the Picture Wall project, officials working on the project told media that room next to the gate had been closed for ages which the WCLA has cleaned and reopened.

Furthermore, the conservation of the gate was carried out in three parts; restoration of the wooden gate, conservation of rooms and conservation of the main façade. The Shah Burj Gate restoration work was carried out for the first time in its history.
