Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Tuesday sealed restaurants and vehicle service stations over the violation of building bylaws, according to news sources.

As per the official press release of CDA, under the directions of the Chairman Amir Ali Ahmed, the authority sealed multiple restaurants and service stations located in Sectors G-9 and G-10 – as they were found in violation of building bylaws. Other structures that were issued notices for violating the building code included hotel, schools, cinemas, hostels, and residential areas.
Moreover, the owners of over 25 illegal structures have been issued notices for demolishing – warning that in case of non-compliance, the owners will be heavily fined after the expiration of the notices.

Earlier, the authority also revived the deteriorating Lotus Lake in Shakarparian in a bid to attract tourists. Also, a family park in the National Park Hills area of Shakarparian has been established to allow the citizens more space for their outdoor recreational activities.
