Lahore: The Punjab government has announced its decision to reopen food courts, stalls, restaurants, and park attractions after Eid, according to a news source. To this effect, the authorities concerned are to decide the operational timings for these facilities on a later date.

In a related development, the provincial government has formed a committee to negotiate with transporters on resuming operations. According to details, Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Usman Buzdar presided a meeting for coronavirus control.
The attendees agreed to the decision of reopening shopping malls and plazas from 9 AM to 5 PM. Moreover, they decided to permit food courts, restaurants, and rides to reopen after Eid-ul-Fitr.

The meeting also considered making face masks obligatory in public spaces in order to tackle the spread of coronavirus. It decided to disburse special allowances to the police during this pandemic, while the families of police personnel succumbing to the disease will be provided a martyrdom package.
When the food courts, restaurants, and rides reopen, they will have to follow a strict set of Standards of Procedure (SOPs), so that the spread of COVID-19 remains under control.
