Lahore: The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has issued notices to at least seven restaurants for illegally using its sewerage system, a news source reported.

Gulberg Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Kashif Rasool issued the notices on the directives of WASA Managing Director Syed Zahid Aziz.
These seven restaurants are situated in the Gulberg area of the provincial capital. The authority has asked the management of these food outlets to get their sewerage systems regularised within 15 days.

In a similar measure, the restaurants’ managements have been told to install septic tanks: an onsite sewage facility.
