Lahore: Punjab Chief Secretary (CS) Azam Suleman has ordered all commissioners to resolve the various issues faced by construction companies in the province, a news source reported. The aim of resolving the problems is to help the companies meet all legal requirements, while ensuring the timely completion of private construction projects for promoting economic activities in Punjab.

In this regard, Suleman presided over a meeting to review the issues of construction companies in the province. He directed tehsildars and patwaris to perform their duties with improved coordination He added that they would also discuss the issue of recruitment of patwaris during the next meeting.

The CS ordered all field officers to complete process of gardavries (A documented proof of land-leasing rights issued by a gardori (officer appointed to scrutinise a land record) to the person who attains land on lease with the owner’s consent.) twice every year in order to provide people relief via ensuring transparency. The meeting also discussed the issues pertaining to fuel companies and problems reported by people regarding the revenue department.

Suleman directed the officers concerned to issue No-Objection Certificates (NOCs) within a time frame of one week to facilitate the construction of new petrol stations across the province. He further instructed the divisional commissioners to undertake regular field visits – as well as coordinate with the local parliamentarians for resolving public issues.
