Islamabad: The Sub-Committee of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Overseas Pakistanis has directed the relevant authorities to resolve the issues of the Overseas Pakistani Foundation (OPF) Valley Zone-V housing, a news source reported on January 10.

A meeting was held in the OPF Committee Room of the sub-committee of the National Assembly. In the meeting, the sub-committee examined the OPF Valley Housing Scheme. The sub-committee directed the senior officials of the concerned departments to meet and reach an amicable resolution. During the meeting, the fee concerns of OPF Valley Zone-V were also raised.

A Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) representative (whose name was not disclosed) informed the committee that the funds were not distributed, which lead to a delay in the development activity. He went on to say that even if 50% of the funds are released, FWO would mobilise the machinery and equipment required for the construction. Moreover, an MNA stated that the delay in the project is making it expensive by the day.
