Karachi: The residents of dilapidated buildings in Karachi have refused to leave their homes, a news source reported. The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA), after a survey of dilapidated buildings of the city, had sent notices to residents to vacate the buildings before monsoon.
According to details, the residents contend that they have nowhere else to go, as they don’t have alternative homes. SBCA stated that these buildings can pose a danger to life and property particularly during the monsoon season and they won’t be able to withstand the rains.
SBCA has also warned the city administration on the matter.
