Islamabad: Homeowners who refused to give National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) the details of their tenants were issued notices on the directives of Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan on February 9.
According to a statement issued by the Interior Ministry, details regarding tenants are required to ensure complete security of residents, which is why homeowners are bound to provide this information. In case of non-compliance, the entry and exit points of the particular buildings may be sealed.
Reportedly, the majority of people cooperated with NADRA officials and the police.
