Rawalpindi: The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has completed repairs on all tube wells and filtration plants in efforts to curb the spread of dengue – a news source reported.
The WASA Managing Director Mohammad Tanveer has also directed that machinery should be deployed to the offices of all four zones in the city, to discharge water in and around their 440 tube wells and filtration plants.

He was visiting the various water installations of the agency, and inspected the work being done there. He said tyres and other waste should be removed from WASA workshops and colonies.
He also instructed WASA staff to keep an eye on water logging in and around their premises.

The agency has also formed seven teams to check tube wells and filtration plants every day, and reports will be sent to the relevant commissioner and deputy commissioner in the evenings.
