Karachi: Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Administrator Barrister Murtaza Wahab disclosed that repair work has started on roads in different areas of the city including Pakistan Employees Cooperative Housing Society (PECHS), according to news published on Tuesday (March 1).

The KMC has started construction of Shabbirabad Johar Road that connects Ameer Khusro Road with Tipu Sultan Road in PECHS. The KMC administrator informed that the total cost of the said road was PKR 35 million. An underground pipeline was also being repaired along with the construction work. According to details, the said road will be completed by March 20.
Moreover, KMC Administrator Wahab stated that the agency is improving the basic infrastructure of the city. He revealed that KMC is working on improving street lights and parks and repairing flyover expansion joints.

Reportedly, the KMC has completed the first phase of a six-kilometre long Machli Chowk to Karachi Nuclear Power Plant Hawke’s Bay Road. A 5.5-kilometre long road has been constructed in Federal B Area Block 4, which links Shahrah-e-Humayun and Shah Waliullah Road. KMC Administrator Wahab disclosed that the Altaf Hussain Barelvi Road was carpeted and the bridge from Kashmir Park to Liaquatabad has been renovated.
