Lahore: The cabinet committee on corona eradication on Thursday subjected the decision of reopening restaurants in Murree and other tourist spots in Punjab to the National Command & Operation Centre’s (NCOC) permission, according to news sources.

The cabinet committee met with Punjab Minister Abdul Aleem Khan as its chair. The meeting decided to link the interviews of Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) with the observance of COVID-19 preventive standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Furthermore, the minister also issued direction to ease the restrictions in various sectors as per the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic and its economic consequences. The meeting was told that ease in restrictions will be reviewed if responsible behaviour was shown by the public.
Khan also requested the Health Department to issue daily statements to the media to communicate factual and realistic standpoints on the ongoing coronavirus situation in the country.
