Lahore: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has ordered the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Director General to remove signboards from heritage sites immediately, reported a news source. Justice Ali Akbar Qureshi enquired the PHA on why these buildings were being used for business marketing and promotion.
The presence of signboards on historical buildings in Lahore was brought to the LHC’s attention during hearing of the petition, to which Justice Akbar expressed series concerns. He also mentioned that our law doesn’t allow the heritage sites to be polluted with such activities.
Justice Akbar order the PHA to remove signboards from all heritage sites in three days and submit a report before the court.
