Karachi: The Supreme Court-mandated commission on water and sanitation has directed the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) to remove the debris and construction material from roads and footpaths, a news source reported. Justice (retd) Amir Hani Muslim, who heads the commission, directed SBCA to submit a compliance report in 14 days.
Previously, the commission had been displeased with the permission to leave construction material and debris on the roads and streets. It had also directed the municipal authorities to not allow temporary encroachments on public spaces.
